Plenty of fun was had in North Norfolk as Lowestoft & Yarmouth entered their own 'L&Y Pirates' team to the North Walsham 7s during the bank holiday weekend.
A squad of 11 traveled to Scottow armed with their custom-made Pirate shirts, which were kindly sponsored by Tredwell developments, Walton Garage, RG Cooper engineering, Geezer's hairstylists & Dron and Dickson.
They took part in four matches in the group stages of the tournament but were a bit unfortunate to be faced with the specialist sevens side and eventual men's finalists Sydney Knights, as well as Viking Plate final runners-up Norwich Medics in their pool, who along with Cabana Club overcome the Pirates.
The last game was a much tighter affair against Norwich, with Jed Tearle scoring twice. This was before Sam Jermy managed to get himself knocked unconscious at some point during the second-half.
The squad will now enjoy some rest and recuperation before coming back refreshed for their next tournament- the Swaffham 7s in August.
