The Walking Rugby Section meet on a Monday evening at 7pm, sessions are open to all to attend, no previous experience of the game is required. A two handed touch above the waist replaces a tackle, the game is played with a size 4 (smaller) ball to assist in handling and passing, tries are scored by walking over the try line.
One of the players is the Club President Russ Wilson who commented that the introduction of Walking Rugby was another example of the Clubs ongoing commitment to widen sporting participation within the community in a safe and hugely enjoyable environment and helping to prove that Rugby really is Good for You and truly a game to suit all ages.
