The Drifters went away to Fakenham with only 13 men and despite putting up a brave display for the first half against a 14 man Fakenham outfit, injuries to 79 year old prop Tex Colby and a couple of others, plus Tom Fox succumbing to a bout of IBS, meant they had to give up the ghost at the break and hit the bar for refreshments.

Applause must got to those who made the effort to travel for this friendly fixture just to enjoy a run around. Many teams wouldn't have returned the effort.
